WALKING THE LABYRINTH

labyrinthentrance.jpgA labyrinth is an ancient geometrical form that defines sacred space.  The first known labyrinths date back as far as 2500 BC.  The labyrinth is a single path winding ever inward and back out again.  It provides us with a metaphor for the journey to the center of your deepest self and back out into the world with a  broader understanding of who you are.

The labyrinth defines an area of sacred space.  When we walk a labyrinth, we are not just walking on a flat surface, we are immersing ourselves in a divine energy field that extends both above and below the spiral path.  It is a symbol of death and rebirth.  It is a metaphorical womb from which we can be reborn.

People walk labyrinths for many different reasons; for meditating, healing, connecting with your higher self, finding answers, releasing grief, decision making, celebrating, and giving thanks.  We have included one on the property surrounded by lovely gardens for a peaceful journey while you are here.   Enjoy!
