| Built
in the 20's and updated with a large kitchen/dining
area. This unit is great for families, church groups, or business
retreats. The
living room with a stone gas log fireplace is a spacious area
to gather. It features stairwell railings showing rustic work
of John Hentschel, which are made from local rhododendron and
mountain laurel (featured in the Asheville Art Museum as an
example of early Appalachian rustic furniture artistry).
The
two ground floor bedrooms are separated by an adjoining bath
with a clawfoot tub and stall shower. One bedroom has a double
bed and the other has twins. Upstairs there is a spacious
air conditioned bedroom with twin beds (which can be made into
a king bed) and a twin trundle bed. Another room has a queen
bed for more privacy, and a small cozy private room has a twin
bed with trundle. The hallway bath has a large tub/shower combination
and serves all 3 bedrooms upstairs.
